A 5 days unique course that brings FEM and CFD on the same platform It is not just a course, its a skill development program in CAE domain
Was this short term course held previously? How was the participants feedback?
Yes, this course was held on January 2016 at IIT Mandi, H.P [link] and in October 2016 at College of Engineering, Alleppey, Kerela [link]. Participants feedback has been put online. Please visit the feedback page.
Am I eligible to participate in it?
The course is taught in such a way that that about 90% of the pre-processing technique remains the same. Hence, this course is open to all the interested participants. Engineering students (whether B.Tech./B.E./M.S./M.Tech./Ph.D./other Research Scholars); Faculty (from different engineering departments including mechanical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, civil, electronics etc.) and Industry Professionals (from defense, aerospace, automotive, civil, energy, industrial (CAD,CAE,etc.), thermal, heat transfer, combustion, design etc. backgrounds) are welcome to attend the workshop on first come-first serve basis. The workshop is open for all those who are interested in exploring the field of general application of CFD/FEA.
What does the registration fee comprise of?

Why the registration fee is high?
High? A 3-day CFD workshop in USA would cost $1800 (Rs 1 lakh 23 thousands) excluding food and stay. The same workshop, when conducted in India for 3-day costs Rs. 54,000 (fifty four thousand) excluding food and stay (e.g. visit link). A 12 hour online webinar course on Finite Element Method costs $870 (Rs. 50,000, fifty thousands) (e.g visit link). This FEM and CFD course at IIT (BHU) is for 7 days which includes food and accommodation. Still fee seems high?
This short term course is not just another course, where only lectures are delivered, data variation is discussed and then everybody claps. This is a skill development program in CAE domain which includes theory, hands-on and industry oriented training on both CFD and FEM. Each participants are given personal attention. We guarantee that at the end of this course, you will say, "Wow, I can do it now'. Such short term course is nowhere offered in India or in any other country. Read here what participants of previous short term course said about this unique course.
